Focusing on the "Dual Carbon" Target - ZDATA Honored with the "Beijing Green Low Carbon Excellent Practice Case" Certificate

On September 16, the 2021 (18th) Beijing Internet Conference, guided by the Beijing Communications Administration and organized by the Beijing Communications Industry Association, was successfully held in Beijing. Focused on the rapid development of the digital economy and seizing strategic opportunities in the digital era, the conference, themed "Empowering Networks, Smart Connection for the Future, Building a Global Benchmark City for the Digital Economy," brought together leaders from relevant departments in Beijing, as well as experts from inside and outside the industry. They gathered both online and offline to discuss new trends in the digital economy and explore new strategies for mutual success.

ZDATA, as a professional domestic cloud infrastructure service provider, was invited to participate and explore new avenues of cooperation in the digital economy. The company aims to contribute to the construction of Beijing's "Four Centers" and "Two Zones," adding momentum to transform Beijing into a global benchmark city for the digital economy.

The conference recognized outstanding contributions, advanced enterprises, technological products, and practical cases in the green and low-carbon field. During the award ceremony, ZDATA, as a cloud infrastructure service provider with excellent comprehensive strength in technology and industry applications, stood out in industry surveys and expert evaluations. The company was awarded the "Outstanding Practice Case in Green and Low-Carbon" in Beijing. This recognition highlights the industry's high acknowledgment and affirmation of ZDATA's contributions in efficient energy resource utilization, green design, and green management in its new generation Internet cloud computing innovation base project.

Additionally, Wu Tiejun, the Director of Infrastructure Operations at ZDATA, delivered a speech titled "Carbon Withdrawal 'Based' on ZDATA Accelerating the Blueprint for 'Dual Carbon’" at the "Dual Carbon Era Development Sub-Forum for the Information and Communication Industry." He engaged in a colorful dialogue with experts, scholars, and representatives from various companies, deeply sharing ZDATA's reflections and practices on "green and low-carbon." Together with the guests present, they discussed the transformations, developments, opportunities, and challenges in the dual carbon era.

Since the proposal of the "dual carbon" goals, it was clearly stated in the "14th Five-Year Plan and 2035 Vision Outline" at the end of 2020 that by 2035, there should be a 13.5% reduction in the energy consumption of GDP and an 18% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. The proportion of non-fossil energy in total energy consumption should increase to 20%. Under the "dual carbon" goals, improving the value of unit energy consumption, increasing energy utilization efficiency and facility utilization efficiency, and promoting the consumption and reduction of carbon emissions by new energy have become the mainstream of the low-carbon development of the data center industry. ZDATA, through continuous upgrading of technical solutions, exploring efficient, clean, intensive, and circular green development paths using cooling methods such as cold plate liquid cooling, waste heat recovery through full heat exchange, photovoltaic power generation, etc., aligns with the core city's demands for low energy consumption.

In the future, ZDATA will further implement national policies on green economy and ecological civilization. The company will focus on areas such as site selection, system architecture, power supply methods, cooling methods, and operation monitoring to better meet the requirements for low energy consumption and low PUE. ZDATA will integrate the concept of green and energy conservation throughout the design, construction, and operation phases, striving to create a safer and more energy-efficient green data hosting home for customers. The company will continue to accelerate its progress on the path of promoting and practicing the development of a green digital economy.
