ZDATA Wins ICT 2024 Smart Computing Center Typical Cases

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, smart computing centers, as an important infrastructure to support the digital economy, have received widespread attention from society.2023 In October, six national departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Central Office of Internet Information, the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission, the People's Bank of China, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, issued the Action Plan for the High-quality Development of Arithmetic Infrastructure, which explicitly proposes that by 2025 the development goal of building 50 intelligent computing centers. Against this background, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (AICT) launched a call for typical cases of smart computing centers in February 2024, aiming to screen out construction and operation cases that have a significant leading role in the field of smart computing.

On July 9, the Green Arithmetic Forum of the Internet of China Conference was held in Beijing with the theme of “Thirty Years of Interconnection and New Qualitative Changes of Intelligent Convergence”. At the meeting, the first batch of “Typical Cases of Smart Computing Center” was released, and ZDATA's Miyun New Generation Internet Cloud Computing Production and Creation Base Intelligent Arithmetic Project (hereinafter referred to as the Project), relying on technological innovation, low-carbon applications, and economic and social benefits, has become the first batch of enterprises selected as the Typical Cases of Smart Computing Center by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (AICT) in 2024.

In order to realize the goal of green, efficient and sustainable development, ZDATA is committed to the innovative application of cold plate liquid cooling technology to solve the cooling and heat dissipation problems of high-power servers. It realizes year-round natural cooling through high-temperature chilled water, which significantly improves the utilization rate of natural cooling source and system energy efficiency. By applying heat recovery evaporative cooling fluorine pump air conditioning technology, the waste heat of server rooms is turned into treasure, realizing comprehensive utilization and efficient recovery of energy. In addition, ZDATA's innovative application of containerized diesel generator set composite heating and insulation technology, replacing high-grade electricity with waste heat recovery, not only reduces operating costs to provide strong protection for the project's green operation, but also significantly improves economic and social benefits.

Energy saving and carbon reduction, social responsibility

The project adopts green energy-saving technologies to address the cooling needs of high-power cabinets and achieve energy efficiency improvement. The application of the medium-temperature water liquid cooling system and the indirect evaporative cooling chiller unit makes the average annual PUE of the cold plate liquid cooling server room as low as 1.15, which is much lower than the industry average, showing significant energy-saving advantages. The application of heat recovery system is to change the status quo of direct discharge of waste heat in the data center and realize the effective use and recovery of waste heat. ZDATA practices the concept of green development, effectively reduces carbon emissions through technological innovation and application, actively responds to the national dual-carbon strategy, and contributes to the promotion of a harmonious symbiosis between the digital economy and the ecological environment.
